COOKING FOR MICKEY D'S
Once again Social Action’s Ronald McDonald Dinner Fund is up and running. You can help prepare a meal for the guests at Ronald McDonald House in Brookline, or you can sponsor a dinner for double chai, $36 . Checks for any amount may be sent to TBE with McDonald Dinner Fund written in the memo line.
Your donation goes farther than it did because we can cook in the Ronald McDonald House kitchen and no longer need to purchase kosher items.
Up to twenty-five families stay at Ronald McDonald House while their seriously ill children receive treatment at Children’s and other Boston hospitals. Preparing them a meal lessens the stressors in their lives and enriches ours.
Watch the bulletin for cooking dates, or e mail Tina at loseley@verizon.net for inclusion in the e mail list. Cooks as young as 11 are most welcome.

Helping children learn to read is fun and rewarding. Each week, members of Temple Beth Emunah in Brockton tutor students in our partner school, the Arnone School in Brockton .
Through reading and other activities, our tutors help kindergartners through fifth grade students learn their letters, become readers, and work to develop reading skills and an appreciation for learning.
Our literacy volunteers are members of the Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy. The Coalition consists of over 30 teams from synagogues, Jewish organizations, and local businesses throughout the metropolitan area.
Please contact the team leader, Tina Langson, if you are interested in being a tutor.
