December was another productive month for the Brotherhood as we started the month off with our third Flea Market of the year on Sunday December 7th.
Once again I’d like to thank Steve Weiner for Chairing all 3 of our successful Flea Markets. The second event was our annual Paid up Supper featuring guest speaker Dan Lebowitz Executive Director, Sport in Society, from Northeastern University. The second Annual Hanukkah Extravaganza was held on a snowy December 20th. This event had a little of everything for all ages. The evening started with a DJ, dancing and lots of great Hanukkah food. We moved into the Social hall for a Temple first… Whipped cream plates tossed at our own Rabbi Cohen and Temple President Bob Fishman. What great sports both of these men were as the proceeds of this pie in the face event went to Project Mazon, to help feed the hungry. Look for pictures of this event in the Bulletin and on the web. Oh, there was also a USY Carnival held at the same time. Thank you, Nelson Liberty and the rest of your crew in making this event an awesome time for everyone in attendance. The month was completed with our serving dinner to the homeless at Mainspring house on the December 25th.

For many years, the Brotherhood of Temple Beth Emunah has offered our membership the opportunity to sponsor one of our breakfasts. This is an opportunity to honor the memory of a family member or to honor a Simcha, such as birth, wedding or Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
The cost to sponsor a breakfast is only $25.00, which goes to offset the cost of the breakfast, as they are free to Brotherhood members. Information regarding your sponsorship should be submitted at least six weeks prior to the breakfast so that it can be included on our breakfast flyer that is mailed to the membership. A list of all Brotherhood events, including the breakfasts is included in this mailing. Payment is due by the day of the breakfast. Below is a form that you may use to sign up for sponsorship. It can be left at the Temple Office or you can sign up by email to me:
