INTERFAITH GROUP
Fall was a busy time for the TBE Keruv (interfaith) group. Along with celebrating the holidays with family, friends and temple members, the Keruv group held its annual Sukkah decorating party. Hosted this year by Mary Alice Nathan and her family, the event was well attended by Keruv group members, several new families, Rabbi Cohen and Bob Fishman, Temple Beth Emunah’s President. The children colored pictures of fruit and decorated the Sukkah with them. Adults mingled, assisted the children and enjoyed each other’s company while overseeing the decorating. Rabbi Cohen provided the blessing of the Sukkah, and the children took turns shaking the Lulav, feeling and smelling the Etrog as well as running around.
Everyone had a great time. Special thanks to Mike Cook who set up the Sukkah, Sari Cook and Mary Alice Nathan who coordinated the event, as well as all of the interfaith families who attended. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next interfaith event.
